After you have assigned signals to the debug port, you must assign them to device I/O pins.
The debug port pin is named "auto_stp_debug_out_0_0" where the first number represents the order in which the debug port pin occurs in the instance, and the second number represents the order in which the pin occurs in the signal list. However, you can rename the pin.
The pin names are displayed in the Out column of the SignalTap II window.
