The Analyze Current File command (Processing menu) is available only when a project is open and a design file is open and selected.

Saves the selected design file and analyzes it for syntax errors by submitting it to the Database Builder module of the Compiler. The Analyze Current File command can also create VHDL packages from a selected VHDL Design File (.vhd).
