Includes external delays to and from device pins in the fmax performance calculations reported in the compilation or simulation report. You can specify default external input and output delays with the Default External Delays dialog box, which is available from the Clock Settings tab of the Timing Settings dialog box (Project menu). You can override these defaults with the External Input Delay and External Output Delay options that are available in the Timing category in the Assignment Organizer dialog box (Assignment menu).
