One entry is created for each of the following VHDL and Verilog HDL items within the design:

• VHDL items
  signals and process variables
• Verilog items
  nets and register variables
• Comparison items
  comparison regions and comparison signals; see Waveform Comparison chapter for more information
• Virtual items
  Virtual signals and functions

Note: Constants, generics, and parameters are not viewable in the List or Wave windows.
