Using 64-bit ModelSim with 32-bit FLI Applications

If you have 32-bit FLI applications and wish to use 64-bit ModelSim, you will need to port your code to 64 bits by moving from the ILP32 data model to the LP64 data model. We strongly recommend that you consult the following 64-bit porting guides for the appropriate platform:
