This is a frequently answered questions list for class email lists. I use the email lists mainted by Information Technology Services.
Look back at the main course page, I tell you course email list name there. Email lists are indentified by course number, section, semester, year. A typical name is ece3714-01.fall2000@courses.msstate.edu.
You will be added to the list automatically as long as you are registered for the course. If you drop the course, you are dropped from the list. The list is built automatically every night from the course rolls. The email address is based upon your registered EMAIL address with Information Technology Services. If you change your registered email address, the list will be not be updated with the new address until the next day.
The list is based upon your EMAIL address within the Banner database. LOOK AT THIS LINK to determine/configure your official Student Email address. Beginning FALL 2001, all students are provided with an MSU official student email address. This address is your netid@msstate.edu (note that this is NOT your RA account!!). You can configure this email address to forward email to some other email address by following instructions posted on the site listed above. Updates to the email list is done nightly so any email address changes you make will not be reflected in the list until the next day.
Make sure that you do not have some ".forward" file that is forwarding your emails to a different address. Also make sure that you have not exceeded your disk quota.
