There are excess operations in packets 6, 7, 8
- Total excess operations is 7 (2 in packet 6, 3 in packet 7, 2 in packet 8)
How many free slots above packet 6 do we have?
- 10 free slots (3 in packet 1, 3 in packet 2, 3 in packet 3, 1 in packet )
However, free slots in packets 1, 2 are useless because no data is ready yet from loads; first free slots start in packet 3!
- Only 4 free slots really available (in packets 3 & 4); not enough for excess operations!!!!!
