Network Evaluation Criteria

• Diameter - Maximum distance between any two nodes in the network (measured in links)

• Connectivity - Measure of redundant paths in the network. Tells how many links must be removed to break into two disconnected networks

• Bisection width - Number of links that must be cut to partition into two equal halves

• Bisection bandwidth - Measure of the speed of the links that are cut to partition into two halves

• Cost - Most commonly defined in terms of number of links
