PipeSim Template
The pipesim template I gave you has 9 pipeline stages (18 clks) to implement the texturing
- Feel free to use more or less stages - all I ask is that you justify your use of stages
- Do not use a stage for texel cache lookup, assume that this is done in the texmap read function.
The Mpact2 VLIW DSP processor used 7 pipeline stages at 3 clocks per stage for texture processing.
