Creating a Node in a Waveform File



To create a node:

  1. Open a waveform file.

  2. Select the location to insert the node or group.

    Checkmark To position the node above other existing nodes, select the node or group above which you want to place the new node or group.  

    or

    Checkmark To position the node or group below all existing nodes, do not select a node or group.  

  3. Choose Insert Node or Bus (Edit menu).  Shortcut

  4. If you want to insert existing nodes or groups, click Node Finder to copy node or group names to the waveform file with the Node Finder dialog box.

  5. In the Name box, type the node or group name.

  6. In the Type list, type or select the node type.

  7. In the Value type list, type or select the value type.

  8. In the Radix list, type or select the radix.

  9. In the Bus width list, type or select the bus width.

  10. In the Start index box, type the beginning of the bus.

  11. Turn on or off Display gray code count as binary count.

  12. Click OK.
