Access the Web Using a Proxy Server (UNIX Platforms Only)

Allows you to access the Internet if you use a proxy server at a UNIX or Linux workstation. If you use a proxy server at a UNIX or Linux workstation, you must turn on Access the web using a proxy server (UNIX platforms only) and then type the address (that is, the host name of the proxy server) and the port number of the proxy server in the Address and Port boxes, respectively. Contact the system administrator for the address and port information.

NOTE

If the Quartus® II software is installed on a PC, these options are dimmed to indicate that they are not available.

If you do not use a proxy server at a UNIX or Linux workstation, do not turn on Access the web using a proxy server (UNIX platforms only). If you do, an error message appears indicating that the Quartus II software was unable to find the proxy server.
