Termination logic option

A logic option that directs the Compiler to configure the on-chip termination (OCT) and impedance matching for an I/O pin. OCT helps to prevent signal reflections and maintain signal integrity.

You can select one of the following settings:

Off Provides no OCT support.
Series Provides impedance matching control to alter the impedance of the output driver. The impedance of the output driver is controlled to match exactly with the transmission line impedance.
Parallel Supports OCT parallel termination for various voltage-referenced I/O standards.
Differential Provides OCT support for differential I/O standards.

This option is ignored if it is applied to anything other than an I/O pin. For Mercury devices, only the Differential setting is available. This option is available for Mercury, Stratix, and Stratix GX devices.
