A logic option that directs the Compiler to configure the on-chip termination (OCT) and impedance matching for an I/O pin. OCT helps to prevent signal reflections and maintain signal integrity.
You can select one of the following settings:
Off | Provides no OCT support. |
Series | Provides impedance matching control to alter the impedance of the output driver. The impedance of the output driver is controlled to match exactly with the transmission line impedance. |
Parallel | Supports OCT parallel termination for various voltage-referenced I/O standards. |
Differential | Provides OCT support for differential I/O standards. |
This option is ignored if it is applied to anything other than an I/O pin. For Mercury devices, only the Differential setting is available. This option is available for Mercury, Stratix, and Stratix GX devices.
