LVPECL I/O standard

LVPECL (low voltage positive —or pseudo— emitter coupled logic) is a high-speed I/O interface that uses differential inputs without a reference voltage.

The LVPECL I/O standard uses a differential signal with an output (VCCIO) voltage of 3.3 V. The LVPECL I/O standard has larger differential output voltage swing than the LVDS I/O standard. The LVPECL I/O standard is supported by the APEX II, Mercury, Stratix, and Stratix GX device families.
