Passive Serial chain

One or more devices through which configuration data is passed from device to device using the sequential Passive Serial configuration scheme. A Passive Serial chain can consist of only one device.

In Passive Serial mode, the Quartus^® II Programmer can configure all Altera^® devices supported by the Quartus II software except MAX^® 3000 and MAX 7000 devices, and all programming options disappear from the Programmer window.
