A set of I/O standards that require two pins to operate. Differential I/O standards can be used in conjunction with a SERDES receiver or SERDES transmitter block to implement high-speed I/O interfaces. Stratix^™ and Stratix^™ GX devices support the following differential I/O standards:

• 1.5-V PCML

• 3.3-V PCML

• Differential HSTL

• Differential SSTL-2

• HyperTransport^™

• LVDS

• LVPECL

Cyclone^™ devices support the following differential I/O standard:

• LVDS

Mercury^™ devices support the following differential I/O standards:

• 3.3-V PCML

• LVDS

• LVPECL
