A binary file (with the extension .a) used to generate a flash programming file for configuring an ARM^®-based Excalibur^™ device. You or the Software Builder can use a software toolset linker to link the bootloader library file with a boot data file to generate the Executable and Linkable Format File (.elf) necessary for creating a flash programming file.

The Quartus^® II software provides the bootloader library file, with the file name libboot_xa_ads.a, in the \<Quartus II system directory>\libraries\software\boot directory.
