A rectangular table in a Block Editor file, such as a Block Design File (.bsf) or a Graphic Design File (.gdf) that represents design units. Blocks do not show ports like symbols, but there is a text description of the inputs and outputs. You can use blocks as a shortcut for connecting design entities together without creating or relying on the figure stored in a symbol file. You can use blocks in top-down designs to create and update a design file for a new block.

The block name is shown in the top left corner of the block. The instance name is shown on the lower left corner of the block.
