Each L# column is a trigger level. Trigger levels allow you to define a pattern of logic conditions in the selected instance for which the SignalTap® II Logic Analyzer should search in sequence.
For example, with multiple trigger levels, you can direct the Quartus® II software to capture data only if signal1 goes high in a clock cycle, and then goes low in the next clock cycle.
You specify the number of trigger levels in the Trigger Levels list.
