To remove existing assignments from the design:

1. Open an existing project that contains assignments.

2. Choose Remove Assignments (Assignments menu).

3. Under Select categories to remove, select Remove current Compiler settings assignments only or Remove current Compiler settings and entity-level assignments.

4. In the Available assignment categories list, turn on the assignment categories you want to remove from the design.

5. If you want to automatically remove from the design assignments that no longer exist, turn on Remove obsolete assignments.

6. Click OK.
