To assign a specific entity or node to pins organized by device package:

1. If you have not already done so, create a new project or open an existing project.

2. Choose Assignment Organizer (Assignments menu).

3. Click the By Node tab.

4. Under Mode, select Enter specific entity & node settings for.

5. If necessary, copy a node name to the Name box with the Node Finder dialog box.

6. If necessary, turn on Show assignments inherited from higher hierarchical levels & project defaults.

7. Under Assignment categories, click the + icon next to Locations.

8. Click Pin (organized by device package).

9. If applicable, under Assignment, type or select a package row name in Package row name.

10. If applicable, under Assignment, type or select a package column number in Package column number.

11. If applicable, under Assignment, select an area in Area.

12. If applicable, under Assignment, select a pin number in Pin number.

13. Click Add.

14. Click OK or Apply.
