To assign a specific entity or node to pins organized by pin name:

1. If you have not already done so, create a new project or open an existing project.

2. Choose Assignment Organizer (Assignments menu).

3. Click the By Node tab.

4. Under Mode, select Enter specific entity & node settings for.

5. If necessary, copy a node name to the Name box with the Node Finder dialog box.

6. If necessary, turn on Show assignments inherited from higher hierarchical levels & project defaults.

7. Under Assignment categories, click the + icon next to Locations.

8. Click Pin (organized by pin name).

9. Under Assignment, type or select a pin number in Pin number.

10. Turn on Reserve pin and select As input tri-stated, As output driving ground, or As output driving an unspecified signal from the list.

11. Click Add.

12. Click OK or Apply.
