The Simple ASIC logic cell has an I/O ratio of 2:1. The ProASIC has the  closest ratio to an ASIC then any other Field programmable device. These attributes give the ProASIC a more efficient architecture similar to that of an ASIC.
With Fine grain, the ProASIC have many more switches and blocks to implement more smaller functions. 70% of functionality today require small and simple logic. With the SRAM there is the possibility of wasting logic blocks when implementing smaller functions.
